Syn Drive™ Trek’s state-of-the-art electronic motor management system constantly adjusts timing and power flow based on pedaling force, resistance, and speed. Controlled by a handlebar-mounted computer, it tracks battery life, assistance level, time, speed, and distance. Battery is removable for easy charging.

Silent Drive™ is a high-performance direct-drive, brushless hub motor designed to eliminate friction on internal parts.  Its smooth, quiet ride maximizes the lithium ion battery’s energy and provides 350 watts of high torque at a wide range of speeds, including riding up hills or pedaling into headwinds.

Regenerative braking –think hybrid car. While going downhill, regenerative braking keeps the bike at a consistent speed, while also charging the battery – maximizing battery life. On an average ride, this increases battery capacity by up to 10 percent.
